Westwood's principals have designed computerized central and distributed traffic control systems for over 30 years. In the ITS area, Westwood has focused on integration of advanced traffic control systems, including feasibility studies, design, deployment, operations and evaluation. Westwood provided project management and technical engineering for the Mn/DOT-City of Minneapolis AUSCI (Advanced Urban Signal Control and Integration) project, integrating adaptive traffic control for downtown Minneapolis into the 800 intersection, city-wide central-based system.
