ATAC, a program of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute at NDSU, focuses on enhancing safety and mobility in small-to-medium size urban areas and rural areas through the use of state-of-the-art analysis tools and ITS technologies.

ATAC has been involved in planning, architecture development, evaluation, and deployment of ITS in North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota. We partner with the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and MPOs to provide technical expertise to support their transportation planning, ITS deployment, and traffic operations needs.
