Program Details:
The USDOT’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA) is offering Connected Vehicle 101 workshop at ITSA State Chapter meetings across the country through its Professional Capacity Building Program (PCB). This workshop targets transportation planners, managers, and engineers at state and local agency levels, who are interested in learning more about the Connected Vehicle Program and its benefits and implications for public agencies. Participants will learn about the safety, mobility and environmental applications envisioned for the connected vehicle environment. They will gain an overview of the infrastructure requirements being developed, including communication standards, and operations and maintenance implications, and upcoming policy decisions. The workshop will include a report on the ITS test beds and model deployment in Ann Arbor, MI and solicit feedback from the participants about their decision factors and needs concerning the future connected vehicle environment.
Cost:
ITS MN Members: $40.00 per participant payable at door (Includes seminar and luncheon).
Non-Members: $55.00 per participant payable at door (Includes seminar and luncheon)
Student/Retiree: $30.00 per participant payable at door (Includes seminar and luncheon)

ITS Minnesota wishes to provide this educational experience to as many members as possible. As such, attendance is limited to a maximum of three participants from each member organization. Confirmations will be e-mailed to participants by May 29th, 2013.
